Jet
therapy facial treatment smoothes out fine lines and leaves
your skin looking healthier, smoother and more youthful.
Jet
Therapy and Facials
Jet
Therapy provides an external facial
massage which smoothes out fine
lines, constricts the micro
vessels in the skin causing a reflex action in the facial
muscles and nerves and stimulates the circulation to counteract
the drop in temperature. This
is very effective in ageing skin where the factors of a natural
decrease in circulation, a decrease in hormones and as a result
of lack of oxygen and nourishment, have caused the skin to
become slack. An additional benefit of this treatment is the
exfoliation of the area brought about by the air expelled
under pressure directly onto the skin, which results in the
skin taking on a healthy glow.
What
are Wrinkles?
Wrinkles
are fine lines and sagging skin. The
skin is made up of three layers: the epidermis, the dermis
and the subcutaneous layer. The outermost layer of
skin which is visible to the human eye is called the epidermis,
the middle layer is called the dermis and the innermost
layer is the subcutaneous layer. When you are young,
the skin is able to hold moisture and has an elastic quality.
The dermis (the middle layer) has an elastic quality due
to fibers
called elastin that keeps the skin looking and feeling young
However, over time the dermis loses both collagen
and elastin causing the skin to become thinner and enough
moisture cannot get to the epidermis. The fat in the
subcutaneous layer that gives skin a plump appearance begins
to disappear, the epidermis begins to loose its form and
therefore starts to sag producing wrinkles.
Symptoms
of Wrinkles
-
Fine lines appear around the eyes (crow's feet).
-
Fine lines appear around the mouth.
-
Skin begins to lose its elasticity and starts to sag.
Jet
Therapy Facial Treatment
A
facial Jet has been developed to stimulate blood flow to the
face thereby reducing wrinkles and fine lines. The facial
jet not only smoothes out fine lines, but also has a constricting
action on the micro vessels in the skin. This
causes a reflex action in the facial muscles and nerves and
simultaneously stimulates the circulation to counteract the
drop in temperature. This is very effective in ageing skin
where the factors of a natural decrease in circulation, a
decrease in hormones and as a result of lack of oxygen and
nourishment, have caused the skin to become slack. An additional
benefit of this treatment is the exfoliation of the area brought
about by the air expelled under pressure directly onto the
skin, which results in the skin taking on a healthy glow.
